Installation of
your driveway / patio
Excavation of the driveway will be to minimum depth 100mm
and up to 200mm if required, removing all vegetation,
topsoil and exposing a suitable sub base. All manholes,
gullies and drainage will be installed prior to the site
being covered with suitable stone (type 1 Mot) which is well
compacted down with vibrating plant. The shuttering will
then be positioned and fixed to the desired shape. All levels and falls will checked at
this point, this is now the last opportunity for you to
check the shape before the pouring of concrete.
The concrete
installation procedure
The driveway will be constructed with a 100mm thick concrete
slab, which is air entrained and has fibermesh reinforcement
added at the batching plant. The concrete is tamped and
trowelled out prior to adding the colour and release Agent of your
choice. The whole area is then printed, to a design you have
choosen. When the driveway has been printed the
site will be closed off using hazard warning tape prior to
leaving. Responsibility for the driveway now passes to you,
to prevent any damage to the wet concrete by arrival of
guests, dogs, cats, postman etc…
Next stage
prior to completion
The driveway will then be left for 24-48 hours to cure
before the crack control joints are cut into the slab, as
indicated on the survey (this is subject to the time of
year). The driveway will then have the release powder
brushed off, prior to cleaning with a power wash, which
exposes the pattern imprinted concrete.
Any minor flaws or
imperfections will then be attended to prior to sealing the
whole area, leaving you with a beautiful and pristine
driveway. The whole site will then be cleared and left in a
clean condition as found when first attending site.
